Agreement has been reached on how much revenue the state expects to receive in the fiscal year that begins July 1st. The agreement comes after no consensus was reached a year ago. House Budget Committee Chairman Carl Bearden of St. Charles says legislative leaders and the Governor’s office have agreed that the state expects to pull in $6.4-Billion in Fiscal Year 2005. The Governor’s office had to increase its projection and the Legislature reduced its to agree to a number on which to build next year’s budget.
