Southeast Missouri State opened up its Ohio Valley Conference schedule with a 52-48 home loss to Austin Peay. The Governors charged out of the gate, scoring the first eight points of the game and the Indians never caught up. Austin Peay hit 62.5% of their three point shots. SEMO center Brandon Grffin finished with a game-high 17 points and six rebounds. Derek Winans had 13 points and surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career. Southeast is now 7-5 overall and 0-1 in the OVC.
