The SMS Lady Bears have the best record of any Division-I basketball team in the state of Missouri. They improved to 10-1 overall and 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference by topping Northern Iowa 80-65 in Cedar Falls. Meg Tierney was one of four Lady Bears in double figures with 20. K.C. Cowgill had 18 (and was 4-5 from the three point arc), Keri Koch had 15 and Jenni Lingor pitched in with 10. SMS has won eight in a row.
