Saint Louis University opened Conference USA play with a win by beating TCU 60-50 in Fort worth. Josh Fisher had 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. But things didn’t start well for the Billikens, as the Horned Frogs jumped out to a 13-4 led early on. But SLU’s defense clamped down, holding TCU scoreless for nearly ten minutes. In the meantime, Saint Louis got back into the game and took a 17-16 lead when Tom Frericks tipped in a shot. The Billikens trailed 25-24 at the half, but opened the second half with an 8-0 run and never looked back, shooting 58% over the final 20 minutes. Josh Fisher flirted with a triple-double, with 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. SLU improved to 8-4 on the season.
