It’s a common theme for Mizzou. Get down by double digits, scramble back and win or lose by a few points. They did it again, falling 70-65 to Iowa State in Ames. In the first half, the Cyclones led by as many as 12 points and took an eight-point advantage into halftime. Iowa State got that lead back up to 12 before Missouri rallied back. The Tigers eventually erased the deficit and even led 63-56 with 5:47 to go. But Mizzou managed just two points the rest of the way. Thomas Gardner had 17 points, in what proved to be the best game of his young Missouri career. Curtis Stinson paced the Cyclones with 22 points. Missouri had another dismal ball-handling performance turning it over 15 times, compared to their 14 assists. Mizzou falls to 5-5 and 0-1 in the Big 12. ISU improves to 8-2 and 1-0.
