Bud Lathrop is the winningest high school basketball coach in Missouri history, and with each win his legend grows. Last night, Lathrop became the first Missouri coach to win 900 games as his Raytown South Cardinals trounced Kansas City Center 64-46. His credentials also include four state championships and 31 conference titles. Since beginning his career in 1958, Lathrop has compiled a record of 900-293, with stints at Mound City and Fulton. No other boys’ coach has more than 824 career wins.
