The State Transportation Department is launching a $100-Million partnership effort with local transportation interests that it hopes will build statewide support for MoDOT fund-raising efforts. Commissioner Duane Michie says the formation of local transportation districts has a big future in developing local-state partnerships. Michie says the departament plans to put $100-Million dollars into local transportation district project funding. He says local transportation development councils will help decide how those dollars will be spent.
