Blues Tie Wild

January 6, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Mark Rycroft scored 29 seconds into last night’s game with the Wild. What seemed like a great start was actually the end of St. Louis’ offense as they skated to a 1-1 tie with Minnesota. Wild goalie Dwayne Roloson clamped down and finished with 23 saves. Chris Osgood allowed a second period goal to Andrei Zyuzin for the tie. Doug Weight assisted Rycroft in the first period to grab the 800th point of his career. Keith Tkachuk is just one point away from joining Weight at 800. The injury bug continued to bite the Blues as Barret Jackman re-injured his shoulder last night in the first period. He was in just his second game after missing 17 with the injury. He’ll have an MRI done today. St. Louis, which has won just twice in the last nine games, will face Carolina on the road tonight.
