For the fourth and fifth times this season a member of the Rams has earned an NFC Player of the Month Award. Kicker Jeff Wilkins was named the Special Teams Player of the month for the second time in 2003. Wilkins made good on 10 of 11 field goals and 10 PAT’s in December and he set the team team record and tied the NFL record for most field goals in a season with 39. Grant Wistrom was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month after making 37 tackles and recording 4.5 sacks in December. He also had nine quarterback pressures, as the Rams clinched the NFC West title. Last month safety Adam Archuletta won the same award.
