Backhoes have torn up an asphalt parking lot in downtown St. Louis and have started digging the hole where the new Cardinals baseball park will be built. The Cardinals are announcing the wrapup of their financial package today. Early reports indicate the stadium will cost $402-Million. The team will lease it for 29 years.
