Christmas is just a couple of days away and some people are fretting over buying the right gifts. But a Catholic priest in St. Louis is calling on stressed shoppersto put the materialism aside and focus on the real reason for the season. Father Bill Kempf, the Campus Catholic Minister at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, says there is the obvious religious importance, but there are many things we can give that will be more appreciated that something bought at a retail store. He suggests people give the gift of themselves by spending time with others or offering to cook or help out in another way. Father Bill says the joy of the season is lost when people start comparing what they have given with what they received and trying to decide who came out on top.
