A State Senator threatens to introduce a bill forcing the President of the University of Missouri to list the donors who will give salary increases to campus chancellors. University president Elson Floyd is using regular University funds to pay the higher salaries. He has promised to raise private money to pay for the increases. At last report, the donations were lagging. He says he has not decided whether to release the names of donors. Senator Sarah Steelman of Rolla says he should and, if he doesn’t, she’ll introduce her bill. She says the list will help make sure nobody has any undue influence on the University.
