The Rams topped the Bengals 27-10 at the Dome, winning their 14th straight at home. Cincinnati hung in there, challenging the Rams in the first half. But St. Louis entered the locker room with a 27-10 lead, thanks to touchdowns from Marshall Faulk and Torry Holt. St. Louis managed only 10 points the rest of the way, but the defense didn’t allow another point after Shayne Graham’s field goal at the end of teh first half. They held Rudy Johnson and Corey Dillon to a combined 67 yards on the ground. Rams Quarterback Marc Bulger passed for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Bulger’s favorite target was Torry Holt, who caught 10 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Marshall Faulk also put up some hefty numbers, rushing for 121 yards and a touchdown. Former Missouri Tiger Justin Smith was the defensive leader in tackles for the Bengals with eight. The Rams win, combined with the Eagles loss, puts them in the drivers seat. With a win in Detroit this week, or a Philadelphia loss, St. Louis will clinch home field advantage all the way through the playoffs. The Rams are 12-3.
