You can get fake ones at some tourist traps or at some shopping mall kiosks, but Lake Ozark soldier Ronald Buxton has the real thing – a Time Magazine cover that says he’s a “Person of the Year.” Buxton is one of three soldiers on the cover of this week’s Time, which designates the American soldier as its “Person of the Year.” He’s with the First Armored 3rd Field regiment, based in Germany. He’s 32, wife, two children, high school graduate from the little town of St. Elizabeth. He was in the Army a while, became a civilian but stayed in the reserves, met his future wife who was in the Army and when she was transferred to Germany, he re-joined and went with her. His unit specializes in patrolling dangerous streets and finding insurgents.
