Kansas City Congresswoman Decides To Call It Quits

Congresswoman Karen McCarthy of Kansas City has decided not to run for a sixth term. She’s finishing her fifth term. She’s had a lot of publicly-reported problems int he last several months. She disclosed in March she was an alcoholic and did a stint in rehab. She also has been dealing with ethical issues within her office. She already had attracted several possible opponents, had she remained in the race.
