Saint Louis University came into last night’s game with Grambling St. with a three-game losing streak. Though you can’t fault the Billikens completely as two of those losses came against Arizona and Georgia Tech–both teams are ranked in the top ten. Last night they broke the skid with a 73-35 pounding of the Tigers. SLU got 21 points from Izik Ohanon, as Saint Louis raced to a 43-16 lead at the half. Ohanon hit 7 of 11 shots and 6 of 8 free throws. The win upped Saint Louis’ record to 4-3 on the season. Some more good news is on the way for SLU today when officials will announce that a $70-million, 13,000-seat arena will be built on the SLU campus. It’s expected to open by the 2005-2006 season.
