National Guard Unit Home For The Holidays

December 17, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

One of our National Guard units is coming home for Christmas. Members of the 1138th Military Police Company should be back in Missouri tonight. But they’ll be staying at Fort Leonard Wood for a few days. They should be at home early next week. The unit is based in West Plains and Springfield. The unit has been on active duty in Kuwait and Qatar for the last ten months. It’s the second callup since the 2001 terrorist attacks. In fact, the unit has been at home for only five of the last 27 months.
