Former University of Missouri basketball player Rickey Clemons is speaking out. In an interview with James Brown of Sporting News Radio that aired today, Clemons stood by his claim that he was paid for playing basketball at MU, and he said its no surprise that Rickey Paulding and Arthur Johnson denies his claims that they were paid. Clemons went on to say that the comments of Carmento Floyd – the wife of University President Elson Floyd – that he should not date white women were not racially motivated. News of those comments came out after jailhouse telephone conversations Clemons had with Floyd and an assistant athletic director’s wife were made public. Clemons was serving time for falsely imprisoning his ex-girlfriend Jessica Binge. He now claims he is innocent of that charge
