A State Senator thinks voters throughout Taney County should decide whether Rockaway Beach can have a casino. Senator Doyle Childers has filed a bill for next year’s Legislature requiring county wide approval. Rockaway Beach already has picked a casino company. A petition is being circulated to change the state constitution so the town can have gambling. Childers says a casino at Rockaway Beach would do economic damage to surrounding counties.
