The Saint Louis Soccer team’s season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament with a 4-2 loss to Maryland. The Billikens certainly had a chance to advance to the Final Four, but blew a 2-0 lead in the second half. Freshman midfielder Alex Matteson scored early in the first hal for the game’s first goal. Later in the half senior defender Kevin Wichart made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. But early on in the second half, Maryland The Billikens lost to Maryland 4-2, despite owning 2-0 lead going into the second half. But the Terrapins scored thirty seconds into the second half and rolled the rest of the way. SLU ended their season with a 15-4-3 record.
