SLU, UMKC Lose

December 3, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Saint Louis University’s bid to start the season 4-0 was dashed by West Virginia in a 66-57 road-loss. The Billikens made only four of their first 22 shots and never enjoyed a lead Tuesday night. Meanwhile, the Mountaineers shot 56% for the game and dominated in the paint. Centers Kevin Pittsnogle and D’or Fisher were combined for 23 points and 13 rebounds. They were 9-9 from the floor. Sophomore Anthony Drejaj led SLU in scoring with 16 points…. UMKC had four players in double figures, but shot just 37% from the floor in an 83-75 overtime loss to Loyola-Chicago. The ‘Roos held an eight point advantage at the half, but let it slip away over the final 20 minutes. UMKC dropped to 1-2
