Transportation Chief Calls It Quits

December 2, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

State Transportation Director Henry Hungerbeeler says he will resign from his post effective June 1st. The embattled Director had come under increasing fire from critics unhappy with the way he was running MoDOT. An independent panel had suggested a change in MODOT’s top leadership but had not called for anyone in particular to resign. In a statement from the agency, Highway Commission Chairman Barry Orscheln says he regrettfully accepts the resignation and adds the search for a replacement will start immediately.
