MU’s James Wins Big 12 Special Teams Player Of The Week

Mizzou senior kick returner Marcus James has been named the Big 12’s Special Teams Player of the Week. James returned four punts for 94 yards on in Saturday’s 45-7 win over Iowa State, for an average of 23.5 yards per return. With his second punt return of the day, James became Mizzou’s career leader in combined kick return yardage. His career mark stands at 1,765 return yards. James ended the regular season ranked first in the Big 12 and fourth nationally in punt returns, with an average of 15.2 yards per return. The Tigers have the week off as they await their bowl fate.
