One of the leaders of the Boeing-McDonnell Douglas merger has resigned as the company faces serious ethics investigations. Boeing Chairman Phil Condit will be replaced by one of the other figures in the merger – former McDonnell-Douglas CEO Harry Stonecipher. Stonecipher is coming out of retirement to take Condit’s place. Boeing bought McDonnell-Douglas six years ago.
