Blue Springs won its second state title in three years over the weekend. The Wildcats blew out Hazelwood Central 53-0 in the Class 6 state championship game. The win capped a perfect 13-0 season for Blue Springs. Park Hill won the Class 5 championship, beating defending-champion Webster Groves 34-20. Park Hill finished 12-1, the only state champion to finish the year with a loss. Kearney made it back-to-back championships in Class 4, shutting out Ladue Horton Watkins 43-0. The Bulldogs finished 14-0. Harrisonville also picked up a shutout, beating Ste. Genevieve 35-0 in the Class 3 title game. Harrisonville completed a 14-0 season with the win. Centralia won its first state title. The Panthers destroyed Lawson 42-9 for the Class 2 championship. Centralia has gone 27-1 over the last two years, with the only loss coming in last year’s title game. In Class 1, Marionville blanked Princeton 19-0 in the championship game. The Comets finished the season with a perfect 14-0 record.
