The University of Missouri released the details of Gary Pinkel’s new contract yesterday. Under the new deal, Pinkel’s base salary increases to $250,000 per year. With incentives, Pinkel is guaranteed $1,070,000 per year. Add in bonuses for ticket sales, wins, bowl games and possible national championship appearances, and Pinkel could earn as much as $1,561,250 in a given year. Pinkel officially signed the new contract on Friday. The new deal goes into effect on Jan. 1 and will keep Pinkel in Columbia until Dec. 31, 2008.
