The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports this morning that Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel will get a contract extension that runs through the 2008 season. In just his third season, Pinkel has directed the Tigers to their first winning season since 1998. If they win their final two games, Mizzou will be the Big 12 North champs. Tomorrow they’ll be on the road at Kansas State. Mizzou hasn’t beaten the Wildcats since 1992 and haven’t beaten them in Manhattan since 1989. Missouri hasn’t played since losing to Colorado in Boulder two weeks ago.
