Paulding First-Team All-American

November 13, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The pre-season awards keep rolling in for the Missouri Tigers. Swingman Rickey Paulding has been named to the Associated Press’ Pre-Season All-American first team. Paulding becomes the first Tiger to be tabbed an All American since Melvin Booker. Paulding raised eyebrows with his 36-point performance in a loss to Marquette in the NCAA tournament last season. As a junior Paulding averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. The rest of the All-American team includes Emeka Okafor (UConn), Jameer Nelson (St. Joseph’s), Ike Diogu (Arizona St.), and Raymond Felton (North Carolina).
