Tax Credit Program Probed By State Senate Committee

November 12, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

A State Senate committee has some questions today about a tax credit program that appears to have given as much as $2-Million to companies with no employees and no offices. Committee Chairman Mike Gibbons expects to hear from the head of the Department of Economic Development, Joe Driskill. Driskill says his Departament plans to make its own inquiry. State Auditor Claire McCaskill says state law needs to be changed so the recipients of tax credits can be listed on the public record.
