Clayton High School in St. Louis County has struck out in its effort to reverse a decison preventing the school from playing in a football playoff game tonight. The school was ruled ineligible after it was learned that quarterback Jairus Byrd is not living in the school district. He’s living in a hotel with his family until a permanent residence is found. That finding led to Clayton having to forfeit its nine victories – making it ineligible for the playoffs. Clayton officials launched legal action in both St. Louis County Circuit Court and in U.S. District Court. Both courts have turned down the request.
