Mizzou Wins Exhibition, While Pulley Sits

November 11, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Tiger basketball team won its first exhibition game of the season with an 85-79 victory over Inter Hoop of Lithuania. Sophomore guard Jimmy McKinney played 33 minutes on Monday and finished with 12 points and seven assists as junior college transfer Randy Pulley sat on the bench in street clothes. Pulley is being held out for what’s believed to be transcript issues. He has yet to be certified to play by the NCAA. Pulley played at Barton County (Kan.) Community college last year, after playing his freshman season at SLU. The Athletic Department is not allowed to comment on the issue. Arthur Johnson led all players in points and rebounds with 21 and 12 on Monday, while Rickey Paulding added 15 points, five assists and six rebounds. The Tigers entered the game ranked fifth in the nation in the AP pre-season poll, which was released earlier in the day.
