A Blackhawk helicopter crash near Tikrit, Iraq, has killed a soldier from Indian Creek, a small town near Monroe City in northeast Missouri. Army Captain Ben Smith was the pilot. The Army says a rocket-propelled grenade might have caused the crash. It is urling out a surface-to-air missile. Smith is one of six soldiers killed in the crash. His wife is also a Blackhawk pilot in Iraq.
