SLU Invited To Join Atlantic 10

November 7, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

St. Louis University athletics might have a new home soon. SLU was officially invited to join the Atlantic 10 on Thursday. The conference also invited fellow C-USA member Charlotte. The A-10 currently has 12 schools. SLU looked forward to the invitaion after C-USA members Marquette, Louisville, DePaul, Cincinnati and South Florida decided to jump to the Big East. SMU, Rice, Tulsa, Central Florida and Marshall were invited to join Conference USA following those departures. If they accept, the Billikens would begin play in the Atlantic 10 in the 2005-2006 school year.
