Missouri National Guard members are being told to get ready for a possible deployment to Iraq. Guardsmen from several communities in southeast Missouri and Jefferson City are being told to prepare to be part of the Pentagon’s rotation of 43,000 ready Reserve forces to the region. Missouri Guard officials say the number to be sent will replace those approximately 1,200 Missouri guardsmen already there.
