The Kansas City Wizards and Colorado Rapids played to a 1-1 tie in the first game of their Major League Soccer Western Conference semifinal series yesterday. Wolde Harris got Kansas City out to an early lead by scoring in the third minute of the game. It was Harris’ first goal since being traded to Kansas City. The score remained 1-0 until the second half when Nat Borchers scored for the Rapids and that’s how it ended. Game two is at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night at 7:00. The series is decided by total goals from both games, so the winner on Saturday will advance to face either Los Angeles or San Jose. L.A. won their first game 2-0.
