Anti-smoking crusaders won a big victory in St. Louis, getting Ford to agree to limit where workers at its Hazelwood plant can smoke. The change ends a practice of letting workers light up about anywhere in the plant. Both anti-smoking groups and state officials argued that the old policy violated Missouri’s Clean Indoor Air law. The Hazelwood plant has 2,500 workers.
