The flap over a leaked memo from Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee has Senator Christopher Bond – a member of the Committee – charging Democrats are playing political games. The document suggests the top priority among senior Democrats should be to criticize the Bush Administration over its decision to launch the war against Iraq. Bond says the Intelligence Committee has always been a bipartisan panel that uses gathered intelligence to help the country – not to attack political leaders. Bond says it appears there is a purpose among Democrats to change the Intelligence Committee to a political entity, rather than an intelligence gathering panel.
