November 5, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Keith Tkachuk experienced the time honored sports transformation of goat to hero in the Blues 2-1 win over the Ducks. With the Blues Trailing 1-0 in the third, Tkachuk was called for a double minor spearing penalty. St. Louis was able to hold off the Ducks in the extended power play and eventually tied the game when Doug Weight scored at the 14:41 mark. In overtime Tkachuk scored the game winner with :31 to go. The other hero of the night was goal tender Brent Johnson who stuffed 24 of 25 Anaheim shots. The Blues have a two-point advantage over the Black Hawks and Red Wings in the Central Division.
