Helias High School out of Jefferson City took home the Class 4 softball state championship on Monday. The Crusaders beat Lindbergh 2-0 for the Class 4 title. Helias sophomore pitcher Lauren Delaney threw a perfect game, striking out 14 batters. Delaney did not give up a hit in the Crusaders four postseason wins. Delaney finished the season 20-0 with an ERA of 0.09. Timberland won the Class 3 state title, beating Sullivan 4-0. Putnam County defeated Lawson 3-0 for the Class 2 championship. New Franklin outlasted Purdy in the Class 1 title game, winning 1-0 in 10 innings.
