St. Louis School District Moves To Make Buses Safer

October 27, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The company that runs school buses in St. Louis has been told by the school district to make its buses safe and to better train their drivers or leave. The district says more than half of the buses used by Atlantic Express have failed safety inspections this year. The district says many drivers have been rude and disrespectful to students and sometimes drivers don’t know their routes. Atlantic Express is being paid $11-Million to transport about 2,700 students on 228 routes. It’s one of three companies providing transportation for the district.
