Missouri Senators Join Majority To Move Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Through Senate

The U.S. Senate has followed the lead of the U.S. House of Representatives in voting to approve so-called partial-birth abortion. And, Senators Christopher Bond and Jim Talent joined the majority in voting to pass the legislation, which President George W. Bush has promised to sign. In supporting the ban, Senator Talent called passage a tremendous victory for those who have worked to ban what he calls the “heinous procedure known as partial-birth abortion.”
