The legal briefs have been filed in the lawsuit that challenges Missouri’s concealed weapons law. A judge will hold a hearing on Thursday. Both sides point to language in the state constitution. Opponents say the constitultion forbids concealed weapons. Backers of the law say the constitution lets the legislature pass the law it passed earlier this year. A judge has temporarily blocked the new law from going into effect. He’ll hold the hearing to decide if the injunction should be permanent. Regardless of which way he rules, the case will go to the Supreme Court on appeal.
