A company that makes Duncan Hines cake mixes hopes to avoid bankruptcy by merging with the company that makes Vlasic pickles. Aurura Foods of Maryland Heights plans to file for bankputcy. But part of its plans to get out of bankruptcy is the merger with Pinnacle Foods of Cherry Hills, New Jersey. There’s no word on what will happen to the 200 people who work for Aurora in the St. Louis area.
