The House sponsor of Missouri’s concealed carry gun law expects his legislation to taste more defeat at the Circuit Court level before it heads to the State Supreme Court. The St. Louis Circuit Court judge who issued the preliminary injunction preventing the concealed carry gun law from going into effect has scheduled a hearing for Thursday of next week to determine whether the injunction should be made permanent. State Representative LarryCrawford of California, the House Sponsor, expects more bad news because it’s the same judge presiding over the hearing. Whatever happens, Crawford has no doubt the decision will be appealed, eventually to the State SupremeCourt, where – he says – the Attorney General’s Office will do a good job of defending the law. Crawford believes the law will be allowed to take effect if the judges follow the State Constitution.
