State Representative Joins Race For State Treasurer’s Office

State Representative Blaine Leutkemeyer of St. Elizabeth has announced he’s seeking the Republican nomination for the State Treasurer’s Office. Several other Republicans are thought to be in the running for the same post. They include Senator Sarah Steelman of Rolla and Representative Brad Roark of Springfield. Nancy Farmer, the Democrat who currently holds the job, has announced she will not seek re-election, but try for the U.S. Senate seat held by Senator Christopher Bond.
