A judge in St. Louis has issued a preliminary injunction barring the implementation of the new concealed-carry gun law if the plaintiffs in the case are able to post a $250,000 bond. The new law was set to go into effect tonight at midnight. Attorney General Jay Nixon says he will ask the Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Missouri to set aside the judge’s order and Nixon says he is prepared to go to the Missouri Supreme Court if necessary. Opponents of the law say it is unconstitutional.
