One of the Kansas City Wizards most dependable players is expected to remain with the team for some time. Midfielder Chris Klein will sign a five year deal with the team soon. Klein, who is a St. Louis native, is in his seventh season with Kansas City. After battling through a four-month scoring drought, Klein seems to be on the right track. On Saturday he netted two goals to lead the Wizards to a 2-0 win over Colorado. Yesterday Klein was named Major League Soccer’s player of the week. The Wizards are tied for the second-worst mark in the league, but are fourth in the Western conference and have already locked a playoff spot.
