Governor Bob Holden is banning concealed weapons from all state facilities. He’s issuing an executive order to counteract the new concealed weapons law passed by the Legislature over his veto. Holden says state buildings are no places for concealed guns. Concealed weapons had been banned from state buildings until the new law was passed. Holden says his executive order is needed to keep guns out of places such as child support enforcement offices, veterans homes, the Capitol and Governor’s Mansion, the state appeals court buildings and buildings at the state fair.
