The SMS soccer team got the best of 6th-ranked SMU in Springfield with a 2-1 win. SMS improved to 6-3-1 overall and 1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Meanwhile, the Mustangs, who are 7-2-1, dropped to 0-2 in conference play and will surely lose their high ranking once the new soccer poll is released. Saint Louis, who recently endured a three-game winless streak at home, went on the road to beat Eastern Carolina 2-1. The Billikens extended their road winning streak to six games and have an 7-1-2 record on the season. The Billikens are ranked 7th nationally.
