The Rams beat the Cardinals 37-13 at the Dome to improve to 2-2 on the season. Marc Bulger seemingly did no wrong. The Rams quarterback was 28-42 for 272 yards and two touchdowns. He hit Torry Holt 12 times for 133 yards and a score. Bulger even rushed for a touchdown. His only miscue on the day was an interception by Dexter Jackson with just seconds remaining in the first half. But even that turned out well, as Jackson fumbled the ball with :04 to go. The Rams called time out and Jeff Wilkins nailed a 53-yard field goal as time expired. Lamar Gordon, filling in for Marshall Faulk, had 81 yards rushing and a touchdown. Sunday’s game also saw Isaac Bruce become the Rams all-time receiving yardage leader as he snagged four passes for 58 yards. Bruce passed Rams receivers coach Henry Ellard who had 9.761 receiving yards from 1983-1993. The Rams are a game-and-a-half behind the Seahawks, who are 3-0 and had a bye on Sunday. The Rams have a bye this week.
